David Pulido – Service Department General Foreman
David is the epitome of a team leader. As the foreman for our entire team of mechanics, he is always eager and willing to help another team-mate figure out an issue at hand, and does so by walking them through the proper trouble-shooting techniques, not by simply stating the answer. David started his career in the non-union sector, became an apprentice for STC in 1994, and remained here for about 16 years. After presented with an offer to explore other opportunities he went to work for Patton for 2 years, and then found his way back after missing the STC culture. David is the backbone of our field service team, and is experienced in all types of equipment, especially chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and large built-up systems. His 25+ years of experience is of utmost value to our team, in both training new mechanics and supporting our existing customer base, of which we service all types of equipment.
Ray Valladares – Service Department Lead Journeyman
Clients are naturally drawn to Ray’s outgoing personality, as he is easy to approach and also has a particular aptitude for taking a complicated subject or system issue and explaining it in manageable terms. Ray has over 10 years of experience, some of which came from his time at Lanotte Refrigeration and Johnson Controls, Inc., during his apprenticeship years. His specialties include refrigeration and large hydronic systems. He has taken several chiller training classes, refrigeration and ice machine troubleshooting, has applied them in the field with on-the-job experience, and is a leader for our field team. He also prides himself on being able to troubleshoot even the most complicated controls systems.
Rick Lopez – Service Department Journeyman
Rick is one of the rising stars on our field personnel team. He has a diverse background with 3 years non-union and 5 years union experience strictly doing service calls, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical preventative maintenance tasks for all different types of HVAC equipment. He has worked at ACCO, Emcor, and Patton, and is happy to have now found a home for the long-haul with Servi-Tech Controls.
